When asked how Trask views her work, she first responded with this Keller quote: “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”– Helen Keller. Trask creates from emotional meridians and dream landscapes which he hopes will “unearth” a deeper sentiment in the experience of the viewer. She believes her art only becomes such once it is felt by a receiver, otherwise it is merely an expression of her own journey. Her work is also deeply connected to an attempt to achieve physical strength and balance through meditation and the study of movement.
